Semana Santa

Easter in Murcia is an explosion of beauty, passion and religion. The processions express the Murcian character, their generosity, their love and their faith. Any visitor will be captivated by the works of art and artistic treasures which leave the museums to be paraded in the processions.  Specifically in Lorca, on Good Friday, the "Blue" and "White" brotherhoods compete to outdo each other in pomp and finery during a grand procession of biblical characters.
